Transfer a Toll Free Number - $30

If you have a phone number that you would like to use with your Smart Telephone Number service, we can have this number transferred over from your current provider. There is a one-time fee of $30 for processing the transfer of a number.

Steps for transferring your number:

• Upon completing your order, a link to transfer forms will be emailed to you.
• Fill out this form with information from your current provider, then fax it to us.
• We will assign you a temporary number to configure your service.
• We will alert you by email when your number has been successfully transferred.
• Upon transfer, your number will begin working immediately with your service.

After placing your order, if you decide not to transfer your number, simply do not submit the transfer form. In this case, you may continue to use your temporary number indefinitely and will not be charged the $30 one-time transfer fee.

Vanity Number Search Tips

Our best advice for finding a toll free vanity number of your own is to start simple. It’s easy to get trapped into thinking you need to find a 5-, 6-, or 7-digit phrase with an available toll free prefix. To get the largest set of results, set the prefix to 8**. This will show vanity number results for the 800, 866, 877, and 888 toll free prefixes.

All toll free vanity numbers are reserved from a single national database of spare numbers known as SMS/800. Each vanity number search will return up to ten matching numbers from this database. If no matches are available, you’re free to refine your search and try again.

Using Wildcards (*)

Wildcards allow you to search for a specific string of letters or numbers within a toll free number. For example, if you want your toll free number to end with the word ‘ROAD’, you could search for ‘***-ROAD’. This search will return all available toll free numbers with the final four numbers spelling out the word ‘ROAD’ (i.e. 7623).
